Use Tips
1、 Basic Operations
Power on/off and volume adjustment
Long press the top knob to turn on/off, and rotate to adjust the volume.
Short press the MONI button on the side to temporarily monitor the current frequency signal.
Switching between Frequency Mode (VFO) and Channel Mode (MR)
Press the VFO/MR key to switch between frequency direct transmission or preset channel mode 3.
In frequency mode, directly enter the number keys to adjust the frequency (such as 430.125).
UHF/VHF dual band switching
Press the BAND key to switch between UHF (400-470MHz) or VHF (136-174MHz) frequency bands.
2、 Core function usage
Air Band reception
Enter 118-136MHz in frequency mode and press the AM/FM key on the left side of the PTT button to switch to AM mode for receiving aviation signals.
DTMF Encoding and Decoding
Enter the DTMF menu option to set encoding groups for relay access or identity recognition.
Long press the MONI key to decode the received DTMF signal in real-time.
FM radio and NOAA weather broadcast
Press F+3 to enter FM radio mode (50-108MHz).
The NOAA weather frequency band requires manual input of frequency (such as 162.400MHz) and storage.
Scrambler for encrypted calls
Enable Scrambler function in the menu, both parties need to set the same password group.
3、 Advanced Settings
Firmware upgrade and customization features
Connecting to a computer through a Type-C cable and flashing open source firmware (such as v3.20) can unlock SSB demodulation, spectrum analysis, and other functions.
Long press F+5 to activate the spectrum analysis mode.
Storage and scanning
Long press the number key (e.g. 1) to save the current frequency to the corresponding channel.
Press the SCAN button to start a full frequency band or preset channel scan.
Type-C charging and battery life
Supports Type-C direct charging or landline charging, with a full charge range of about 8-10 hours (5W emission).
4、 Precautions
Transmission restriction: Some frequency bands (such as the aviation band) only support reception and cannot be transmitted.
Compatibility: The antenna interface is an SMA female head (inner screw and inner pin), and replacing the antenna requires matching specifications.
